What beltup is

What is beltup?

beltup is a Lean Six Sigma practice tool: a bank of marked and explained questions, which you replay as many times as you like to prepare for a certification or keep your knowledge current. It is neither a course nor a training provider.

Who is behind beltup

Does beltup award a certification?

No. beltup is not affiliated with, accredited by or endorsed by any certification body, and awards no title. Certification takes place with a body that has its own examination rules; beltup is there to prepare for it.

Trademarks and non-affiliation

How is it different from a Lean Six Sigma course?

A course teaches the method, with a trainer, a syllabus and often a project to run. beltup does none of that: it exercises what has been learned, question by question, and points out what has not stuck. The two complement each other — many learners use it between two training sessions.

For training providers

Which certification does beltup prepare for?

None in particular, and that is deliberate: the bodies of knowledge of the various organisations overlap widely, and the same tools are examined. The practice is therefore the same whatever certification you aim for. The exam conditions differ — duration, pass mark, whether a project is required — and are checked with the organisation itself.

What the certification bodies require

What is free

What can you do without creating an account?

Three quizzes of 15 questions, one per level, playable and marked immediately — no sign-up and no bank card. Each paid track can also be tried on 15 questions under the same conditions.

The three free quizzes

What does a free account unlock?

The entire Yellow Belt level, with a fresh draw every session rather than a fixed set, plus the history of your attempts and the tracking of your weak topics. No bank card is asked for any of this.

The track catalogue

Do you need a bank card to try?

No. Not for the quizzes, not for the track previews, not for the free account. A card is only asked for when you take out a subscription, and nothing is charged before that.

The subscription

How much does the subscription cost?

12,90 € per month, or 99 € per year — 36 % less than twelve monthly payments. These amounts include all taxes, and there is no sign-up fee and no paid add-on.

What the subscription unlocks

What does the subscription add?

Access to the Green and Black Belt levels across the whole question bank — over 1,800 questions — with a fresh draw every session, the choice of duration and number of questions, and a timed exam mode whose marking only arrives at the end.

The details, line by line

How do I cancel?

From the “Résilier votre contrat” (cancel your contract) link at the bottom of every page, in a few clicks and without having to write to anyone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and access stays open until then.

Cancel your contract (Résilier votre contrat)

Is the subscription eligible for the French CPF training account?

No. The French personal training account (CPF) funds training courses leading to a registered certification, delivered by a listed provider. beltup is a practice tool and meets none of those conditions — saying otherwise would be false.

The questions and their answers

Who writes the questions?

They are written and reviewed by a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner, who signs the glossary cards in his own name. That is not a presentation detail: a disputed answer finds someone to answer for it.

Who writes

Where do the answers come from?

Every question carries its source, shown with the correction: a standard where one exists, the founding book of the method where relevant, or the explicit statement that no normative source is cited. These three cases are not equal, and the screen says which one applies.

References and sources

What if an answer looks wrong?

Report it from the correction screen, in one click. Every report is reviewed, and a question whose answer does not hold up is corrected or withdrawn. That is the mechanism that keeps the sourcing promise — a source that cannot be challenged is worth nothing.

Do the questions change from one session to the next?

Yes for the levels opened by an account or a subscription: the draw is renewed at every launch from the whole available question bank. The trial quizzes, on the other hand, are deliberately fixed, so that a score can be compared from one time to the next.

Your account and your data

Where is the data hosted?

Hosting, the database and email sending are provided by French companies, on servers located in France, and usage analytics are hosted in the European Union. The payment provider is the exception: its contracting entity is European, but its group is American and its contract provides for transfers to the United States for certain purposes.

Privacy policy

Can I retrieve or delete my data?

Yes, from your account and without having to ask: the export delivers all your data in a readable file, and deletion erases the account and its history, unconditionally. If you composed assessments or wrote questions for an organisation, they stay with that organisation — they belong to it, not to you — and your name is simply removed from them. If you were its last trainer, its contact is notified so that it can appoint a successor.

Your rights

Is beltup suitable for a training provider or a company?

Yes, that is an intended use: a trainer space lets you enrol learners, assign them tracks and follow their results. Group terms and pricing are discussed case by case.
