Terms of Use
Version in force since 13 August 2026
This English translation is provided for convenience only. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails and is the only binding text.
1. The service
beltup is an online practice service for Lean Six Sigma certifications, published by Kernel Ops SASU (hereinafter “we” or “the publisher”). It offers quiz tracks made up of multiple-choice questions, ranking exercises and numerical calculations, covering the Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt levels.
beltup does not issue any certification. It is exclusively a practice platform. beltup is not affiliated with the certification bodies (IASSC, ASQ, Mouvement Français pour la Qualité, AFNOR, etc.) and must not be confused with an official training organisation or an approved examination centre.
Completing one or more beltup tracks, whatever the score obtained, confers no title, diploma, accreditation or professional certification.
2. Nature of the platform — mandatory statement
beltup is a practice platform, not a certification body.
- beltup issues no diploma, certificate or accreditation recognised by third parties.
- The tracks and questions offered are preparation tools designed independently, with no official affiliation with the certification bodies of knowledge.
- Passing a beltup track is not equivalent to, does not replace and does not guarantee passing an official certification examination.
- To obtain a recognised Lean Six Sigma certification, the user must register with an approved certification body (IASSC, ASQ, MFQ, AFNOR, etc.).
3. Access to the service and registration
Access to the service requires creating an account with a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You undertake to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential.
Part of the service is available free of charge:
- The Discovery track — full access
- A preview of 5 questions for each of the 5 premium tracks
The tracks accessible through a partner code (Partner plan) offer no free preview and are not visible without prior activation.
4. Offers and pricing
Full access to the service is subject to taking out a paid subscription, available as follows:
- Annual subscription: 99,00 € incl. VAT per year, renewed automatically every year.
- Monthly subscription: 12,90 € incl. VAT per month, renewed automatically every month.
Prices are stated in euros, VAT included. As a SASU subject to VAT, we have an invoice sent to you by Stripe at each renewal. Prices may be changed with 30 days’ notice by email.
The standard subscription gives access to the 5 premium tracks, to free mode and to all updates included for the duration of the subscription.
5. Partner plan (access by code)
beltup offers a so-called “Partner” access intended for companies, schools and training organisations wishing to deploy the platform for their teams or their learners.
This access is activated with a partner code and a password provided by Kernel Ops SASU to the partner organisation, after signature of an agreement or a commercial contract. It is not taken out directly by the end user and is not available to the general public.
- The Partner plan gives access to all the standard tracks as well as to the exclusive content reserved for partner organisations.
- Each user must have their own beltup account to activate a partner code.
- Partner codes are non-transferable and for internal use only.
- Kernel Ops SASU reserves the right to revoke a code in the event of non-compliant use.
The pricing terms and the access period of the Partner plan are set out in the agreement concluded between Kernel Ops SASU and the partner organisation.
6. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (third-party payment provider). beltup has no access to any banking data. By taking out a subscription, you authorise automatic debiting at the scheduled due dates.
If a payment fails at renewal, your premium access will be suspended until the situation is regularised. You will receive a notification by email.
7. Cancellation and right of withdrawal
Online cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time, directly from your dashboard, using the “Manage my subscription” button. This feature is available at all times and requires no step by post or by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period: you keep access until that date. No pro rata refund is made for the period already started.
The same area lets you download your invoices, view your payment history and update your payment method.
Right of withdrawal: In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from subscribing to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons or bear any penalty.
Where to exercise it: a dedicated online feature is available at all times, without logging in and without an account, from the link “Withdraw from the contract here (Renoncer au contrat ici)” in the footer of every page of the site, or directly at beltup.fr/retractation. You may also notify us of your decision by any other unambiguous means, in particular by email to contact@beltup.fr. The refund is made within 14 days of receipt of your declaration, using the same means of payment.
As beltup gives access to digital content immediately after payment, this right applies in full unless you have expressly requested immediate performance of the service and acknowledged waiving your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the same code.
Charges in the event of withdrawal after the service has started: if you expressly requested immediate performance of the service before the end of the withdrawal period, you remain liable for an amount proportional to the service actually provided up to the communication of your withdrawal, calculated on the basis of the total agreed price (Article L221-25). This amount is deducted from your refund; the details are sent to you with your refund notice.
Cancellation: once the withdrawal period has passed, you may cancel your subscription at any time online, without logging in and without having to contact us, from the link “Cancel your contract (Résilier votre contrat)” in the footer of every page of the site, or directly at beltup.fr/resilier. Cancellation takes effect on the date you indicate, or at the end of your subscription period already paid if that period ends later.
8. Rules of use
You undertake to use beltup exclusively for personal and educational purposes. The following in particular are prohibited:
- Sharing an account with third parties
- Reproducing, copying or extracting the content (questions, explanations) for commercial purposes
- Any attempt at unauthorised access to other users’ data
- Using bots or automated scripts
Any breach of these rules may lead to the suspension or deletion of the account, without refund.
9. Limitation of liability
beltup is provided “as is”, as educational preparation. Kernel Ops SASU does not guarantee success in certification examinations and cannot be held liable for an examination result, whatever its cause.
The liability of Kernel Ops SASU is limited to the amount paid by the user over the last 12 months.
10. Changes to the Terms of Use
Kernel Ops SASU reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use. In the event of a substantial change, you will be informed by email with 15 days’ notice. Continued use of the service after that period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms of Use.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution may be sought by writing to reclamation@kernel-ops.com. The consumer retains in all cases the right to bring the matter before the competent courts.
In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code on “the consumer dispute mediation process”, after having contacted us and failing a satisfactory reply, you may have recourse, free of charge, to a consumer mediation procedure with:
CM2C
49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France
Telephone: +33 1 89 47 00 14
Website: https://www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php
Email: litiges@cm2c.net
The mediator must be contacted within a maximum of one year from the written complaint sent to Kernel Ops SASU. Recourse to mediation is optional and free of charge for the consumer; it does not prevent the matter from being brought before the competent courts.
These provisions do not apply to relations between Kernel Ops SASU and its business customers, consumer mediation being excluded for disputes between professionals (Article L. 611-3 of the French Consumer Code).
