Trademarks, non-affiliation and intellectual property

Version in force since 9 August 2026.

This English translation is provided for convenience only. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails and is the only binding text.

1. Non-affiliation

beltup is an independent publisher of practice content. Kernel Ops SASU is neither affiliated with, nor accredited, sponsored or approved by IASSC, PeopleCert, ASQ, Motorola, the Council for Six Sigma Certification, AFNOR, or any other certification, standardisation or training body.

No commercial, contractual or institutional link exists between Kernel Ops SASU and those bodies. We are not an approved examination centre, and we present none of our content as validated by them.

2. Marks cited and their owners

The trademarks and distinctive signs mentioned on beltup.fr belong to their respective owners, in particular:

  • Six Sigma — Motorola Trademark Holdings, LLC
  • Kaizen — Kaizen Institute Ltd.
  • IASSC — PeopleCert International Ltd
  • ASQ, CSSYB, CSSGB, CSSBB — American Society for Quality
  • Lean Enterprise Institute, Shingo, Minitab — their respective owners

This list is not exhaustive. Any mark cited elsewhere on the site remains the property of its owner, whether or not this page mentions it.

3. On what basis we cite them

These marks are used only as a necessary reference, to indicate the purpose of our content and let the user understand what it prepares for. That use falls under Article L. 713-6 of the French Intellectual Property Code and Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2017/1001, which reserve to the owner the right to prohibit any use that is not in accordance with honest practices in industrial and commercial matters.

We therefore refrain from:

  • using a logo, emblem or visual identity belonging to a third party;
  • including a third-party mark in our company name, our domain names, our subdomains or the names of our offers;
  • presenting beltup content, a score or a certificate as issued by a certification body, or approved by it;
  • using a third-party mark as a product name — Kaizen, for instance, is used on this site as a technical term of the Lean vocabulary, never as the title of an offer.

We use these marks adjectivally: we speak of preparation for the examination of a body, never of a title we would confer.

4. Regulatory status of beltup

Unambiguously, and to avoid any misreading:

  • beltup issues no certification, no diploma, no professional title.
  • No beltup certification is registered in the French Répertoire Spécifique or in the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (national register of professional certifications), for the simple reason that there is no beltup certification.
  • Our content is not eligible for the Compte Personnel de Formation (the French personal training account), nor for any public funding of training.
  • Kernel Ops SASU is not a training organisation: no declaration of activity with the DREETS, no Qualiopi certification. It publishes software, and licenses it.
  • We guarantee no result in a certification examination, whoever organises it.

These statements are detailed in the terms of use and, for partners, in the software licence terms.

5. Where our questions come from

The questions offered on beltup are original practice questions, written by us. They reproduce no real examination question, in whole or in part, and come from no question bank belonging to a certification body.

We neither use nor solicit examination material: certification candidates are bound by a confidentiality undertaking, and collecting real questions from them would amount to inciting them to break it.

Each question is built from citable public sources — standards, reference works, technical documentation — and our writing, review and versioning work is traceable. If a question seems to you too close to protected content, report it to us : we withdraw it while we check.

6. Our own content

The beltup texts, questions, explanations, tracks, glossary, interface and trademark are the exclusive property of Kernel Ops SASU. The question bank further constitutes a database protected under Articles L. 341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code: extracting it, even partially, is prohibited.

The details are set out in the legal notice and the terms of use.

7. Reporting a use you consider improper

If you own a trademark or rights and consider that content on beltup.fr infringes them, write to contact@beltup.fr. A person — not a form — replies within 48 working hours, and the disputed content is withdrawn while your request is examined.
