What this quiz covers

It covers the DMAIC approach, the flow tools — mapping, SMED, kanban — and the statistical part: capability, measurement validation, hypothesis tests.

The Green Belt is the first level that commits to results: taking a project from the observed problem to the sustained solution. The syllabus mixes shop-floor Lean tools with Six Sigma statistics, and it is that second half that decides most failures.

Not because of mathematical difficulty — the calculations asked for are mechanical once the formula is known — but because you have to know WHICH tool applies to which question. One question in three is less about the tool than about when it is used in DMAIC.

The fifteen questions below cover both halves. They also draw from the Yellow fundamentals: a Green Belt exam assumes them mastered and does not re-explain them.

Revise this level without wasting time

Put every tool back in DMAIC order

Revising the tools one by one, without ever placing them back in the approach, is the most costly mistake at this level. A SIPOC in the analyse phase or a control chart in the define phase are wrong answers even if the tool itself is well known.

Do not avoid the calculation questions

They look thankless and are the most rewarding: a Cp, a Cpk, a DPMO or a risk priority number are always calculated the same way. They are points banked in advance once the formula is automatic.

Check whether your certification body requires a project

Some bodies of knowledge require a real, documented project on top of the written exam, others do not. It is the point that changes your timetable most, and it is checked before you start revising.

The notions to go back over after the quiz

Placement test or mock exam?

This quiz is a placement test: 15 questions, marked and explained as you go. It is there to spot in ten minutes what you have mastered and what is left to review — not to reproduce the conditions of the day.

A mock exam is something else: the real length of the exam, a timer, and no marking before the end. beltup offers that mode — number of questions of your choice, timer, marking withheld until the result — to subscribed accounts, across the whole bank of the level. That second use prepares you for the pace of an exam; this one prepares you for the content.

Both are useful, and not at the same time. You start by finding out where you stand.

Frequently asked questions

Is this quiz enough to prepare for a Green Belt certification?

No, and that is not its purpose: fifteen questions position a level, they do not train. Serious preparation means several hundred questions covering every topic of the target body of knowledge, under exam conditions — which is what the full track offers.

Where do the questions and their answers come from?

Every question carries its source, shown with the correction: a standard where one exists, the founding book of the method where relevant, or the explicit statement that no normative source is cited. That is what allows you to challenge an answer by going to check.

Does the level of the questions match the exam?

They are written in exam format — a situation, four possible readings, only one that holds — not in flashcard format. The difficulty is that of a Green Belt exam, but no certification body publishes its past papers: no one can claim to reproduce a real exam, and beltup does not claim to.

What happens after these fifteen questions?

The correction stays available, and the cards linked to each topic let you review what was missing. Going further at this level requires a subscription: the Green Belt track draws renewed questions from the whole bank and offers a timed exam mode.
